Monochrome Cards

Hi Peeps,

These are the cards I have made for a card making competition, the theme was 'monochrome' so this is what I came up with. I used a mask to ink the background and used die cut butterflies, gems, pearls and bows to embellish it. I added glitter to the white butterflies as well. Hope you like them?

Thanks for looking, fingers crossed I win the competition :) x KW x

Baby Girl commissioned card

Hi Peeps

I was asked by a work colleague to make a Baby Girl card, I used ink to cover the top baby card which started off white but I think the ink has made the baby feet stand out more. The baby girl image is a Digi stamp which I coloured in on Photoshop  Hope you like it?

NEVERENDING CARD

Hi Everyone,

My Daughter Emily starts High School on Wednesday (4th) so I thought I would try out a card I haven't made before the neverending card and this is the result! I was really pleased with it being my first attempt and Emily really loved it. I added pictures of Emily from birth, including her first day at primary school and used these along with peel offs and die cut letters and numbers.

The pictures are in the order that you open the card up unfolding each layer to reveal more pictures.

Emily at 10 months old and in her high school uniform age 11

Age 3 first day at Primary School and age 5 in the middle panels

Wedding Card

A work colleague asked me if I could make a wedding card for her friends wedding that she was bridesmaid at. There was five bridesmaids each wearing purple, pink, blue, green and yellow dresses so I chose the flowers to represent them, also their honeymoon was going to be travelling in the Norfolk Broads on a barge and she wanted this incorporated in the design hence why I chose the map of the Norfolk Broads and the barge topper. She was delighted with the result so happy days :)

Hope you like it, thanks for looking, KW :)

NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH!

Hi Folks,

Well I have been really busy the last couple of months hence why I haven't blogged anything since May, I just never seemed to have a spare ten minutes to blog, anyway Krafty Walrus' web designer (my wonderful hubby Paul) has given the website a new face lift hope you like the new look :) and we have been very busy setting up craft sessions in our local community centres and residential homes for the forthcoming months so watch this space.......

I am also on a few courses at the moment which when finished will help me with the classes I will be running in the future. I also had my first school fair in July selling my wares and I was really pleased with the response I got and a lot of orders came from it so happy days:) Paul took a couple of pictures of my stall

My little stall at the school fair

Paul has been really busy creating 3D cards and has had a lot of orders coming in, I have also started using Paul's photography as toppers for my cards so it is all our own artwork that we are using on our cards. The following cards are Paul's images that I have made into toppers distressed the edges with ink and mounted them onto my cards. I love them and there is more of these to come, I will put them onto here when I have finalised the images.

Paul's butterfly pictures used as toppers for my cards

That's it for now folks, see you soon and thanks for looking :) KW xx
